A Graffiti CMS powered site

Now on Graffiti CMS 1.1 plus a new site theme: Embouteillage

Growing tired of the painful Yellow Hell theme, and being largely design challenged, I went on the hunt for a new site theme.  Searching via Google, I came across Brandon Schwartz' Graffiti CMS theme page and quickly decided that I was very fond of the Embouteillage theme.

I downloaded it, and made the following tweaks:

  • added ImageUrl to the theme - index and post views
  • changed web hosting in site footer
  • changed it to a 2-column theme: removed ads column and adjusted widths on remaining 2 columns
  • moved tagline in heading from H2
  • removed "Continue reading" from index view
  • changed the comment datetime stamp
  • added style for when the commenter is the post author
  • added gravatars to the comments
  • changed the comment style to add a silver box around the comment
  • added a tagcloud style

Overall I am pleased with the theme.  I was able to follow the same steps outlined here to update my site from Graffiti CMS 1.0 to Graffiti CMS 1.1.

The comment form could use some breathing room, but this is much nicer than "Hell Yellow".

Hey, does this mean someone will actually start watching the Grafitti forums? I've been using the app for a couple of months now (and really like it) but the support's been pretty sad...

@Josh: Good call on the comment form, thanks! I've now increased the width. (Looks like some of the styles were living in a separate CSS file which was not included in the theme, so I've now moved them.)

@Curt: We're working on the situation for Graffiti and support in the forums. We had been resource constrained and we've been largely focused on CS and Evolution. I am pretty passionate about Graffiti and personally know many people such as yourself who are using it, so there's a good chance I will become the PM for the product. :-)

Like, the official Product PM? That would be excellent news indeed Terri! I'd love to see Graffiti given just 25% the attention CS gets, it really has so much potential as an enterprise CMS.

    You the PM for Graffiti? That would be sweet. I hope so, providing of course you got the time/availability. I'll look for you in the forums :}

So, it's official. I am indeed now the PM for Graffiti and couldn't be more pleased. We should be going public with the roadmap next week. You'll be seeing me around a lot. :-)
